'32 Black History Months & Counting', performance (20 mins), 2025.

A little stand-up comedy, a little performance art, a lot of epilepsy jokes. An ongoing memoir of a middle-class Black girl, exploring labour, personal memory and collective history, through earth, wind and fire.

The show weaves Black history with Black autobiography, tracing these themes along the 32 year period in which I’ve been alive and either being prepared for work, or in it.

'Do you remember
The 21st night of December?
I’m actually not sure I remember
There’s damage to my neural pathways.'

An ongoing series, performed here at Sadie Coles' GARGLE, curated by Alayo Akinkugbe.
